International Conformation Champion

Canyon is our second female we brought from Brush Dale Kennels in Iowa. She is a very affectionate dog who is well known for her “Canyon Kisses.” In the field Canyon is a methodical hunter. She has a big range but doesn’t rush through cover. Canyon is a very natural retriever. At home you will always see Canyon carrying something in her mouth. Canyon passed her NAVHDA Natural Ability test at 8 months with a Prize 1, maximum score. We have started training Canyon in the Utility testing system and plan to test her in fall 2027.

Nikki – Born 05/07/2023

NAVHDA NA – Prize 1, Score 112

AKC Conformation Show – 2nd Place

We acquired Nikki when she was 10 months old from Michelle at Brush Dale Kennels in spring 2024. Nikki has been a very cooperative dog and has a goofy personality. She is a wonderful dog to watch in the field searching cover well and checking in with us as we hunt. Nikki has strong pointing instincts and will naturally honor other dogs on point. Nikki is a very affectionate dog who loves to just lay next to us and relax whether we are inside or sitting on our porch. Nikki passed her NAVHDA Natural Ability test with a maximum score.

IABCA Conformation Show at 18 months

Quest is out of our foundation dog, Denver. Both of Quest’s parents have earned the title of Versatile Champions through the NAVHDA testing system. We hunted Quest this past season in fall/winter 2025. She covers ground effortlessly and is very cooperative. We are looking forward to training her this year for an even better hunting season ahead.

Denver is a very cooperative and intense hunter in the field. She has always had very intense points ever since she was a young puppy. In the field she expands the cover and checks in often. She is a true joy to hunt with and has a outgoing personality. On the water she propels herself forward and will dive into the water after a duck. Denver is a very sweet and affectionate dog who loves meeting new people and other dogs. She is a loyal hunting companion and a calm sweet pet in our home. Denver passed her NAVHDA Natural Ability test at 9 months with a Prize 1, and her NAVHDA Utility Test with a maximum score of 204. The following year Denver became a Versatile Champion at the 2025 NAVHDA Invitational with a score of 194.
